  • Shawna Spiteri

(Lever Harp): Beginning - Intermediate Celtic Harp Lessons - SF Bay Area
I've enjoyed introducing new students of all ages to the beauty of the Celtic harp for over 12 years now. My teaching method is gentle and encouraging, using Dr. Cheryl Ann Fulton's "Touch & Tone" technique to ensure relaxed, injury-free playing with increased musicality. No prior music experience is required and I can teach students to read music as well. Repertoire is primarily Celtic and world folk, some classical, pop and original works, all tailored to each student's interest. I can also provide tips on arranging, improvisation and singing with the harp. San Bruno, CA Email Shawna

She emphasizes a refined and relaxed technique, building repertoire from a wide variety of styles, and introducing (and expanding on when suitable) various aspects of music such as improvisation, composing, ensemble playing and performing.
